Dipton Operational Support

The Dipton Volunteer Fire Brigade attend around 30 to 40 incidents a year, roughly 1/4 medical, 1/4 MVC's, and 1/2 fires – of which quite a lot are vegetation fires. Their area has quite a lot of commercial forestry in it.
Both of their 2 Operational Support members are essentially tanker drivers. The Brigade has 4 vehicles: a pump, a 4wd tanker, a 4wd medical first response van, and a brigade owned 4wd smoke chaser. The tanker gets called to back up other brigades especially as it is 4wd which there aren't many in Southland, so the OS members are valuable for getting it to incidents.
The Brigade is well supported by the community with 26 volunteers, including their 2 Op Support members, 4 Medical first response, and balance of firefighters.
