Matakana Operational Support

The Matakana Volunteer Fire Brigade covers Matakana, Point Wells, and Omaha - where the day time population soars during the summer months. Operational Support members attend almost every one of the Brigade's medical calls in 9233, which makes up the majority of their station calls.
Many of the operational support members train with the operational crews as well, so they are well versed in assisting at motor vehicle accidents, vegetation and structure fires, as well as supporting with the set up of the large portable dam carried on their tanker.
