Te Kopuru Operational Support

The Te Kopuru Fire Brigade has around 20 members with typically about a quarter of them being Operational Support.
They have a fire appliance, rural fire tanker, 4wd ute and IRB's. The Brigade responds to fire (structural and rural), medicals, MVA's and a variety of other emergencies.
The Operational Support members provide traffic control, lighting, first aid at medical calls, supporting public involved in incidents, water supply, logistics and anything else they can help with. Additionally, they will assist with transporting the Brigade's Inflatable Rescue Boats for water rescues and then provide support from shore. Operational Support members ride the trucks or respond in the ute.
